Help Hyderabad activities are not limited to or restricted at one or two areas. Though our primary focus is on Education and Health, the scope of our services to community is as wide as the community's problems themself !

We are literally into every aspect of improving the quality of human life within the community. We are into Marriage & Domestic Conflict Resolution, Marriage assistance, Career Counselling, Educational Counselling, Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Vocational Training for ladies, Teaching Quran and Deeniyaat in 40 odd English medium schools and Evening Community Training Centres. We have established a Destitute Women's Home by name "Sukuunat" at Mehdipatnam on a NO PROFIT basis. This project was on the anvil for years despite the moral support of Mr Harsh Mander IAS, the officer who resigned in protest against Gujarat Pogrom and Smt Anjana Sinha, Senior IGP because it is a very serious matter.

KURNOOL FLOOD RELIEF:

The disaster of Kurnool Floods is itched on the minds of those who saw it and even more so for those who experienced it. Help Hyderabad was one of the NGO that initiated relief action immediately by raising funds and spending it initially for relief operation and later to rehabilitate the victims. In recognition of its service, the Government of Andhra Pradesh gave Help Hyderabad a State Award, which was received by Mr.Zahid Quadri on behalf of the organization and its workers. The NTR Trust also awarded the organization for its meritorious relief work in Kurnool.

GOVERNMENT MINORITY SCHOLARSHIPS:

When the Government of AP introduced scholarships for minority students at higher educational level, Help Hyderabad initiated the scholarship awareness programme and helped thousands of students fill and submit the application form, open bank accounts, obtain income certificates from relevant MROs and get admitted in colleges of their choice. Sheer resilience was required by Help Hyderabad volunteers to overcome several obstacles such as prejudiced behaviour, uncooperative attitude, etc., from officials involved in the process.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE:

Help Hyderabad has filed a number of cases with State Human Rights Commission, sought information under RTI and petitioned the National Commission for Minorities on behalf and for the youth of the city who inadvertantly suffered at the hands of the authorities. Many legal battles are being persued in courts for rehabilitation of victims of police atrocities in the Mecca Masjid Blast case.
